In a reduction print, the same block is carved, inked, and printed multiple times. Each time, more of the block is carved away, reducing the amount that can print.

I’ve been experimenting with taking notes and explaining things to myself visually using Paper. Still thinking about my time at Constellation Studios, I tried to draw a simple three-pass reduction print to demonstrate how what you carve away “reveals” the color underneath.
